Rhoda Abrams

Age 97, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2021. Predeceased by her beloved husband Dr. Meyer Abrams, Rhoda is survived by daughters Diane (Arnold) Ross, Gail Abrams (Frank Donahue) and Ilyse (Steven) Janove. She was a grandmother beyond compare to Mitchell Gould, Andy (Shannon) Gould, Michael (Renee) Janove, David Janove, Rosemary Donahue, William Donahue, Jeff Ross, Robert Ross and Mark Ross. Ten great-grandchildren added more blessings.
Rhoda was known affectionately to all as RhoRho. Her personal warmth was felt immediately by anyone fortunate enough to meet her. She shared the best of herself in so many ways - her humor, generosity, wisdom, kindness and open-mindedness. Accomplished yet humble, she was compassionate to her core.
Her charitable contributions were many. She served as one of the first co-chairs of Jewish Federation’s Super Sunday, and was the Division Chairwoman of Allied Jewish Appeal. As community leaders, she and her husband were among the founders of Congregation M’kor Shalom, leaving a lifelong legacy.
Relatives and friends are invited Monday, October 18, 2021 beginning 12:30 PM to PLATT MEMORIAL CHAPELS, Inc. 2001 Berlin Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ where funeral services will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. You must be fully vaccinated to attend the service in the chapel. Proof of vaccination will be required. Masks must be worn in the chapel. The funeral will be live streamed on www.plattmemorial.com Int. Crescent Mem. Park, Pennsauken, NJ.

The family has requested that memorial donations be designated to the M’kor Shalom Social Action Fund for “Haitian Refugee Assistance”, or to Caring Hearts Ministry, 20 Kings Hwy. E., Haddonfield NJ 08033, which helps families living with HIV/AIDS.
