Joe Nachbin

Joe M. Nachbin, of Atco, NJ passed away July 14, 2022. Husband of Ruby Nachbin. Father of Hope A. (Steve) Ronske, Mark S. (Michele) Nachbin, Maurice Stone and Kristen Stone. Grandfather of Stephanie Nachbin, Rebecca Nachbin, Peyton Ronske, Derek Ronske, Briana (Juan) Contreras and Donovan Stone. Great grandfather of Enzo and Maya Contreras. Brother of the late Bernard Nachbin.

Joe was a Director of The Alta Group and provided his years of experience in assisting clients seeking expertise in a number of functions such as Strategic Planning, Sales, Operations & Acquisition Due Diligence. Joe was an expert in the following services: Operations Review, Strategic Planning, Vendor Finance, Acquisition Due Diligence, Best Practices Evaluation, Compensation Plan Analysis, Credit & collection Functions Evaluation and Reputation Risk Analysis.


Joe had been responsible for establishing a de novo leasing company for a major bank, acquisition of leasing companies, automobile consumer finance & automobile leasing company and 2nd mortgage company. He had stepped-in as the COO of the Consumer Automobile Finance Company and helped grow the company from a $150 million portfolio to $900 million portfolio in 3 years. The company was then sold to a Top 5 Bank.


Joe served on the ELFA Board of Directors and had Chaired or Served on a number of ELFA Committees including Acounting, Credit &Collections and Compensation Survey. He authored or co-authored a number of articles for Monitor and the ELFA Magazine.

Prior to joining Alta, he served as President of a Major Bank Leasing Company, acquired companies for a Small Ticket/Middle Market Leasing Company, and developed a Vendor Group for a Major Finance Company. He also served as Chief Risk Officer for a leasing holding company and streamlined Credit & Collections Operations at several finance companies.

Joe earned an MBA from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Roosevelt University.


Relatives and friends are invited Wednesday, July 20th beginning 10:30am to PLATT MEMORIAL CHAPELS, Inc. 2001 Berlin Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ where memorial services will begin promptly at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in memory of Joe Nachbin, www.pancan.org
