Gertrude Simons Rapaport, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her home in Willingboro, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Rapaport in 2004. She leaves behind her sons Robert (and wife Paula), Jonathan and Steven Rapaport. She is survived by two grandchildren, Sara and Joshua Rapaport. Gertrude worked for many years as a medical secretary and in her 50’s became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a joyful person and a dedicated mother and friend who rarely if ever complained. She lived one day at a time, loved her independence and drove up until months before her death. She worked with dedication at whatever tasks were at hand. Gertrude had a deep appreciation for nature including animals, scenery on trips and the sun shining through into her kitchen. She loved people, especially her children and grandchildren, and had a great interest in the news, the arts and the world. She encouraged and supported the lifelong goals and journeys of others. Gertrude enjoyed cooking, reading the newspaper, television, crossword puzzles and a good laugh.
