Dr. Marvin Grossman

Dr. Marvin Grossman, of Haddon Heights, New Jersey passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on July 28th. He was 88 years old. Dr. Grossman was born on March 31st, 1935 to Samuel and Clara (Norris) Grossman of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The youngest of three sons, he attended Central High School in Philadelphia where he excelled at both baseball and football, achieving all city honors in both sports. He went on to graduate from Temple University and ultimately Thomas Jefferson Medical College where he achieved his Medical Doctor degree. He joined the US Navy where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander, serving as a physician in the field during the Vietnam War. Dr. Grossman would ultimately specialize in Internal Medicine and specifically Cardiology, achieving the position of Chief of Cardiology at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, a position he would hold for much of his career.
He is predeceased by his father, mother, and brother Manuel Grossman. He is survived by his brother Robert, his wife of 52 years Carol (Yeisley), his children Loren and Amy Grossman, Deidre Grossman and Edward Cerasia II, Paige and Christopher Nelson and Peter and Justina Grossman and his 8 grandsons Caleb, Benjamin, Samuel, Matthew, Miles, Ellis, Sidney and Stefan.
Relatives and friends are invited Sunday, August 6th beginning 2:30pm to Platt Memorial Chapels, 2001 Berlin Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ where memorial services will begin promptly at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to giving.jefferson.edu
