Dr. Edward Rosof



Edward Rosof, 76, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, passed away after a short battle with Leukemia. Husband of Carol (Niedelman) of 55 years. Father of the late Craig (Sarah) Rosof and Stephanie (Michael) Ritigstein. Brother of Bernice (Jack M.D.) Kleid. Brother-in-law to Steven (Gail) Niedelman. Grandfather of Sophia and Benjamin Rosof and Noah, Spencer and Drew Ritigstein. He leaves behind 5 nieces and nephews, and 10 great nieces and nephews.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Lafayette College in 1967, he received his doctorate of medicine degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and he completed his pediatric training and a one-year fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1977 and was a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Rosof founded his first practice in Voorhees, New Jersey, in 1975. A decade later, he relocated the practice to Marlton and founded Marlton Pediatrics. He took pride in being a founder of Advocare, a multi-specialty group, that formed in 1998. He was named regional “Top Doc” by both Philadelphia magazine and South Jersey magazine numerous times. He practiced pediatrics for 44 years.

Aside from his countless honors and recognitions, he loved caring for families from generation to generation. He impacted numerous patients and their families. He always made each parent feel as though their child was the most important and his patients loved him. He was dedicated to the challenges of diagnostic pediatrics and attentive to patient care and excellence. He derived great satisfaction from watching his patients grow up healthy to become fine young adults.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife, going to the Jersey shore and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Funeral Services to be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at Platt Memorial Chapels, Inc.,2001 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ. Internment at Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ. Shiva to be observed at the late residence. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions in his memory be made to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Congregation Beth El of Voorhees, NJ.
