Brian Katinsky
Brian David Katinsky, born November 14, 1962, in Philadelphia, PA (age 60) passed away suddenly on June 26, 2023, from complications related to his lung cancer diagnosis of six years. He was a graduate of Cherry Hill West High School and continued his studies at Arizona State University. Brian spent his early years in hospitality as the Maitre D at the Garden State Racetrack in the Clubhouse and Courier & Ives Dining Room, and later of Victors Club at the CoreStates Center. He went on to launch Alluvium Cruise & Travel in 1993 and later developed Hotelevator, an online travel platform which was still in development, also catering to the luxury travel segment. Brian’s attention to detail, extensive travel knowledge, responsiveness, and personal level of service to his dedicated clients was unparalleled, with many clients becoming lifelong friends. Brian was a long-time resident of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, splitting his time between there and the Regency Towers in Ventnor, NJ - where he resided full time for the last several years. He was happiest spending time with family and friends wherever they may be, but particularly on the beach, scoping out the best water ice spots, flaunting his culinary skills and enjoying a good meal with a dry Kettle One martini (one olive) in hand. He was widely adored and loved, always looking out for those he cared about and bringing people together. He is survived by parents Barbara and Harvey Katinsky, siblings Steven Katinsky and Beth Levin, niece Chloe Levin and nephew Max Levin, aunt Jan Grabosky, cousins Eddie Grabosky, aunt Delores Katinsky, Stuart & David Katinsky - as well as many beloved friends, including his Regency Towers family in Ventnor. He will be deeply missed by so many. A celebration of life will take place for family and friends in Margate, New Jersey on July 6th from 1-4pm, 2023. Please text Steven, his brother, at 856-321-0002 for details.
