Harry Diamond, of Cinnaminson New Jersey, passed peacefully on November 15, 2018 at home surrounded by family at the age of 88. Harry grew up in Philadelphia, one of 11 children. Harry was known for his kind spirit and sense of humor. Harry served in the AirForce during the Korean war and taught pilots how to fly on flight simulators, later studying to become a teacher. He taught both social studies and math at Pennsauken Junior High School and worked summers at Camp Lindenmere as head counselor along with “Pepi”. Harry enjoyed the many hours he volunteered at Temple Sinai.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Paula “Pepi” ; daughters, Beth Diamond, Lisa Diamond-Kirkpatrick, Nancy Diamond Wagner, Marci Diamond, April Diamond and Marley Riley. Son-in -Law Dan Kirkpatrick, who provided Harry with support and camaraderie in household full of female energy. Harry will be missed by his grandsons Ryan and Josh Kirkpatrick, Casey Diamond Wagner, Granddaughter Marisa Diamond and 3 year old Leela Diamond Wahi, who brought so much joy to her Poppy Harry. Harry was loved by Diamond spouses and partners Pearce Wagner, Francine Price, Darius Riley, J.T. Turner, Supreet Wahi. Harry is survived by his younger brother Hank Diamond and his wife Phyllis and a multitude of loving nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Harry will be laid to rest at William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery.
Private services held at Platt Memorial Chapels, Cherry Hill.
Shiva at the Kirkpatrick home Friday 2pm -5 pm, Saturday 4:30 - 7:30 pm.
